District Nurses
A team of district nurses works closely with the Practice providing a range of services to patients who are housebound and unable to attend surgery for treatment. Referrals to the district nurses are normally made by the Hospitals or the GPs.

Family Planning
The nurse and both GPs are trained in family planning and can give advice and treatment.
Health Care Assistant
The main role of the healthcare assistant is to take blood samples but she is also trained to check blood pressure, undertake new patient medicals and administer certain vaccinations. Please be aware that blood samples have to be taken before 14:00 to ensure prompt delivery to the laboratory.
Minor surgery and joint injections
Dr Cossham is qualified to perform joint injections. Please book a triage appointment to discuss.
Practice Nurse
The nurse can advise on a range of health matters and give vaccinations, check blood pressure, syringe ears, remove stitches, dress wounds and helps monitor long-term illnesses such as asthma and diabetes. When booking with the nurse, please inform the receptionist what the appointment is for so that the appropriate length of time can be allocated.
