Patient Participation Group

Who are we?

  • A group of volunteers, all patients at Falkland House
  • Affiliated to the National Association for Patient Partnerships

What do we aim to do?

  • Support the work of the Falkland House Surgery team
  • Represent the interests of the Surgery's patients

Our main activities

  • Holding quarterly planning meetings with representatives of the Surgery Team
  • Celebrating Surgery success
  • Providing information for patients: newsletters, waiting room screen, web page, notice board
  • Seeking and sharing patients' views
  • Representing patients at local NHS meetings and conference
  • Keeping abreast of local and national health-related developments
  • Providing information for Care Quality Commission Surgery inspections
  • Working alongside the five other Surgeries in our local group to develop Neighbourhood Network priorities 
  • Reviewing PPG progress and encouraging new members to join

Fundraising - We raise funds for

  • Surgery developments e.g. Surgery defibrillator and training, Surgery phlebotomy chair, waiting room information screen
  • Neighbourhood Network priorities e.g. Bents Green Dementia Café
  • Oher health-related local causes e.g. The Archer Project, St Luke's Hospice
